Really enjoyed your show at the Family Fun Science Day at Qakwood Mall.
I was hoping to find some of the experiments that you did online.
Are you going to put any experiments on this site?
Thanks

IDOLMOTOR,You can see basicly in yahoo in internet
6 years ago born and developed by related othorities
it use in every land-navy-air vehicles and presents new era
50cmx50cm0 size,108kg weight idolmotor is 1500HP at 9000rot/min.
%70 fuel efficiency(Diesel engine is %37.4)
basic,strong,silent,clean exhaust.
Now,automobiles can fly
You know, flying vehicles needs high performance e.g.ordinary helicopter has min.500HP engine, big fuel tank, noisy, clumsy and expensive
Idol motor is a new engine
It is in ordinary automobile with flat propeller both fly and run in traffic. When it fly,it can stay long time and its behavior like helicopter, when it is on the road or in the city,it is ordinary automobile.

A colleague mentioned Mr. Science to me. Is this a program? I am looking for enrichment activities for an after school program.
James Thornton <jthornton@
cucps.k12.va.us>
Hi James, thanks for writing.
The "Mr. Science Show" is based in Brevard County, Florida (home of the Space Shuttle). The shows have been seen on Time Warner Cable and also on home videos. Live shows are seen weekly throughout central Florida at schools, rec-centers and special events.
The "Mr. Science after school programs" were developed to provide a series of interactive presentations throughout the school year (A different topic is presented each week).
A typical Mr. Science presentation might include live animals, dynamic stunts, audience participation, unusual science equipment, strange inventions and a lot of cleaning up.
In American culture the name "Mr. Science" has come to define any nerdy know-it-all and many communities have their own "Mr. Science". This "Mr. Science Show" has been entertaining and educating children and families in the southeast for over a decade! I don't know if your colleague was refering to me or not but here are the closest science performers I found to your county....
------------------------------------------------------
In Virginia, I found a science "road show" that very close to you. I don't know the gentleman but here are the links I found. I believe you are within the range he is willing to travel!
http://phun.physics.virginia.edu/
http://faculty.virginia.edu/sthornton/home.html
------------------------------------------------------
Another potential source in your state might be the "Wood Magic Show" and their Traveling Classroom... http://woodmagic.forprod.vt.edu/
------------------------------------------------------
A "Traveling Science Show" that covers virginia was also found at the Franklin Institute... http://www.fi.edu/tfi/programs/travshow.html
-----------------------------------------------------
Other similar items can be found by searching for "Virginia science show" in your favorite search engine.
Let me know if this is helpful to you.

I saw your presentation last Thursday evening at Bessey Creek Elementary and thought you were great.
I spoke to you afterwards regarding our Girl Scouts. I don't know if you remember me since you talk to so many people.
I have only 10 girls in my troop. I'm looking at my badge book and also will try to see if another troop or two would like to join us.
This way we can work on a patch together by having you do a program.
Will let you know.
Thanks,
Debbie

Each year Tim brings his Mr. Science Show to the Melbourne Arts Festival, Kids World. We offer crafts, face painting, magic shows, clowns, etc., but the most important ingredient of Kids World is the Mr. Science Show. Tim captures the attention of 2 year olds through grandparents with his program. In addition to his fun and interesting program he also acts as MC for the weekend. He is one of the most versatile entertainers. If you are considering offering a fun, educational and thoroughly entertaining program for children, the Mr. Science Show is it.

How do I see the movies?
Mike Robinson <m.m.robinson@

20:05:28 (PDT)
Hi Mike, Thanks for visiting the Mr.Science Show website. The movies section is "still under construction" and also terribly ignored! I've been writing webpages and collectiing videos to put on them in my spare time between shows. I have lots of stuff but I havent posted it all yet. Stay tuned for when I eventually dump it all on the web in one huge collection!
In the meantime, you'll need the Quicktime player available from Apple (for Macs or for Windows). here are the links for the main page and also the temporary stuff I put there until I can load more movies.
The Movies Page Link is
BBX~TV.html
Also, here are some actual Movie Links... (mostly tests while I learn the software!)

Mr. Science, you saved the day at my daughters 'pool' party today. I can not thank you enough for agreeing to come at the last minute. My daughter thought it was the "coolest". The kids had a blast making the video and the adults enjoyed watching just as much. The 20 kids plus parents were a handful and you were wonderful. For anyone who is htinking of hiring Mr. Science for a show, I HIGHLY reccommend him. Thank you again. I really appreciate your time and the memories you helped make today. I'm sure we'll see you again. Sincerely, Mary P

(NOTE: The following is not really a guestbook entry, I was E-mailed by somebody who I was unable to reply to and this was the best I could do to not ignore them. If you send mail or wish to have your children correspond with others, please check to make sure your internet service provider is set to allow replies. Because I'm concerned about privacy (especially for kids) I've assigned my elusive "pen pals" a secret code name so that I can respond to them here in a public place without using there real screen name. I think they will recognize that this is for them... - Mr. Science)
Dear Mr. Science...Do you know any science book titles for young kids or evenwebsites is good.
Signed; A and A (that is the name I changed to protect the innocent!)
Hi A and A, Thank for visiting my site!
You might have recieved an automatic e-mail from the robot that runs it for me but just ignore that. I don't know what reading level you are at or which branch of science you are interested in so it would be hard to recomend a book that would be just right for you. I have an unfinished list of books I like on the Mr. Science Library page so try some of those if you like. I'm working on a list of cool science links to post on my website and even though I'm not finished here's a sneak preview.....
(remember to check these sites WITH YOUR PARENTS so they can enjoy them too!)

Dear Mr. Science:
Thank you for all the great shows you brought to
our daughter's school last year. Now that she is
home more for the summer, we are getting the time
to do more science together at home, and my husband
and I are very impressed with all she has learned
from you! She still talks about you a lot, and
she thinks you're great! We all do! As a matter of fact,
we think you're Sciensational!:)
Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm with our family!
Love, Ada's Family!
P.S. Have you heard about the new West Melbourne
Elementary School of Science opening in August, 2000?

I just wanted to say hello and thank you for having such a great web site. I am starting my elementary student teaching this fall and my concentration is in science so I was really excited when I found this web site. Its great to find new avenues in which to explore science. Keep the ideas coming!

I just wanted to confirm for this Friday the 19th. The children come in from recess at 12:30, so if you could be ready to 'go' at about 12:45, that would be great. I was going to let you know what show - but after reviewing your website, I still don't know. Can I leave it up to you to select what ever you feel a class of second graders will enjoy? I will meet you at the school around 12:30-ish. Please call me or email me if you have any questions. Thanks

Hey Scott, good to hear from you! Astro Too is my favorite place to rummage for cool electronics and stuff. Did you see my tornado machine in the paper? I got the blower and switches at Astro Too! The new location is terrific!

Hi Mr. Science! This site is getting better every time I visit it. I saw your dinosaur going over the Melbourne Causeway the other day. It was following too close to a brown van. Does your dinosaur need glasses or was it in a hurry? Thanks for a neat site to visit!! Gotta go now.

What you do for children is incredible. You have a unique gift. Keep it up!! My kids laugh and learn. That is truly the way to teach effectively. As discussed briefly with you the other day at the civic center, when we get askdrheatlh.com up and running, I hope that you will be a part of our team that will be dedicated to scientific learning and teaching. We would love to have you. Until then---don't blow yourself up with anything!
